The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen is expanding to Cedar Park in June with a new location at 1310 East Whitestone Boulevard. Owners Reed Clemons, Beth Lasita, and Matt Berendt (who is also the longtime wine director) recently shared news of its construction kick-off on social media. The neighborhood spot found on the corner of 183A and Ranch to Market Road 1431 will be the fourth outpost for the Austin-based mini-chain.
Like the other Grove outposts, the kitchen will be overseen by executive chef Michael Ortiz. Expect the same extensive food and wine menus as the current locations, including small plates, salads, pizzas, pastas, and entrees such as roasted chicken and braised short rib. Look for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch hours. The new location will also include a full bar.
The Grove’s original location — which remains open — is in Westlake at 6317 Bee Cave Road. The company first expanded into Lakeway at 3001 Ranch Road 620 South before heading downtown in July of 2015. The third location opened in the former Restaurant Jezebel space within the Cirrus Logic Building on West Sixth. Pegged as a coffee and wine lounge, the adjacent sister cafe Lola’s Savannah opened at the same time.
Cedar Park is also getting Texas’ first 365 by Whole Foods Market in late April. The offshoot is a new line of stores aimed at delivering a streamlined, quality-meets-value shopping experience. Austin favorites Easy Tiger and JuiceLand will both have dedicated spaces within the store, including kitchens, counter space, and seating.
