— Blue Bell Ice Cream, the Texas ice cream manufacturer that is in the middle of a slow return after listeria contaminations and cookie dough and cookie ice cream recall last year (Arizona and Denver will get the ice cream cartons again next month), is introducing a new limited flavor: the ice cream cone. It mixes dark chocolate-covered cone bits, roasted peanuts, and a chocolate sundae sauce into vanilla ice cream.

— Texas winery C.L. Butaud won wine of the year during this weekend's Toast & Roast, hosted by the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas, with its tempranillo.

— Austin celebrities Brooklyn Decker and Andy Roddick shared their go-to restaurants with People: Jo's Coffee, Franklin Barbecue, Stubb's Bar-B-Q (for the music), Uchiko, and Josephine House.

— Austin Beerworks' newly-unveiled taproom is now open daily. Those new hours are from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 1 to 7 p.m. on the weekends. Other changes include pitchers and four ounce sample flights.
