Explore the Inner Workings of Board Game Bar Vigilante

Vigilante aims to unite board games, food, and drink with its restaurant and bar when it opens on Friday, February 17 in Crestview, with over 150 different titles, custom-built tables, and a whole lot of beer.

Hand-held, unmessy food is emphasized for the menu, concocted by Derrick Hoang. This means sliders, taquitos, sushi, skewers, sliders, cookies, and more. The lineup for events include the Sunday morning-themed Death by Brunch with a three-course meal, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, a James Bond-themed poker match, and others.

There were many nooks and crannies for Eater photographer Courtney Pierce to explore, from the secret bookcase entry into the private game rooms (hint: pull on the bookcase itself), the intricate gaming tables with two different bat signals beckoning for more players or calling the attention of a server, to a whole lot of nerdy references. Opening day hours are from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., with special events. Regular hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. every day.
