ManinPasta, the Italian restaurant that took over Aroma Italian Kitchen and Bar’s space on South Lamar, is now open. It debuted sometime in late November.

ManinPasta’s menu spans the usual Italian dishes, from house-made pastas to Neapolitan pizza to arancini to desserts. The restaurant also whips up a black charcoal pizza dough. The pizza oven was imported from Naples. It will serve lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch. For drinks, there are cocktails and wine.

The restaurant is found in the 704 apartment complex on South Lamar, which surrounds legendary honky-tonk Broken Spoke. ManinPasta will retain Aroma’s patio, which will remain dog-friendly.

The ManinPasta team includes Italian executive chef Davide Tonel and Neapolitan pizza chef Flavio Miraglia, as well as general manager Andrea Perspicace and owner Davide Careri.

ManinPasta is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

South Lamar welcomed another new Italian restaurant, It's Italian Cucina, from the owner of the former East Side spot It's Italian Market and Cafe.
