The latest restaurant tidbits in Austin served right now

Noble Sandwich Co. expanded with a new roaming food truck this fall. The truck serves up a limited sandwich and etc. menu in various locations throughout Austin, Cedar Park, and Georgetown (the latter is where the restaurant will open its third location). Various dishes have included turkey sandwiches, mac and gouda cheese sandwiches, and Cubans.

— Austin’s barbecue trailer LeRoy & Lewis and Pflugerville spot Brotherton’s Black Iron BBQ both won judge's choice during the Houston-Austin Barbecue Throwdown event over the weekend. LeRoy & Lewis was also named the people's choice winner.

Vogue explores the seasonally-appropriate eggnog cocktails, including Peche bartender Chris Gaspar's take, which includes spiced rum, velvet falernum, cinnamon syrup, and an absinthe rinse.

— San Antonio chef Johnny Hernandez's next new restaurant, the fast-casual Burgeteca, opens today, Monday, December 4. The menu focuses on Mexican-inspired custom burgers like beef patties topped with mole negro and tuna patties with chipotle and lime mayonnaise. The space also includes an ice cream shop.
