Flower Child, a health-focused restaurant from Fox Restaurant Concepts, is opening downtown on Wednesday, December 13, according to its website and multiple Instagrammers who attended the soft opening over the weekend. The second Austin location of the restaurant is located at 500 West 2nd Street.

Flower Child is known for dishes like salads, gluten-free mac and cheese, flavored lemonades, and avocado toast. The restaurant also serves organic wine, beer, and kombucha. The 3,635-square foot space features a mural in collaboration with Hope Outdoor Gallery.

The downtown restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Flower Child opened its first Austin location up in Domain Northside, next to sibling restaurant Culinary Dropout and close to other sibling spot North Italia (which is also getting a downtown location right next door on 2nd Street soon). All are owned by Fox Restaurant Concepts.

Flower Child’s focus is also similar to that of nearby restaurant True Food Kitchen, another branch of Fox Restaurant Concepts (though strangely, it’s not listed on the company’s website).

Update, 1:44 p.m. A rep for Flower Child clarified that True Food Kitchen is a completely separate restaurant from Fox Restaurant Concepts since October 2017.
