Austin fast-casual pho chain PhoNatic has been closing down some of its locations in the city, including the Mueller and Southpark Meadows, this past year. Never fear, though, because pho is sticking around in far south Austin. Taking over PhoNatic’s former location is a new Vietnamese noodle soup spot and restaurant, Pho With Us, opening soon.
Update, December 18: Pho With Us is now open.
The owner is Chau Ro, who also runs South Austin Vietnamese restaurant Dong Nai. Pho With Us will focus on noodle soup, of course, including many that have appeared on Dong Nai’s menu. New additions include oxtail pho and beef rib pho. It will also feature other familiar Vietnamese dishes, like egg rolls, sandwiches, and vermicelli bowls. Everything is available for feature dine-in and takeout service.
Until Pho receives its liquor license for beer and wine, the restaurant will be BYOB.
Three locations of PhoNatic remain right now: one in the Northcross Mall, Round Rock, and Cedar Park. Co-founder Pat Lee also opened Asian grocery store MT Supermarket. He is also behind the Austin location of pho chain Pho Saigon.
