Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is here. Eater gathered the best restaurants offering Thanksgiving dinner and brunch, as well as those offering take-out meals, dishes, and pies.

Turkey Day
What: Nickel City will offer bourbon whiskey specials from Wild Turkey and karaoke for the holiday.
Where: Nickel City, 1133 East 11th Street, Central East Austin
Details: It runs from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.


Saturday, November 30

Small Business Saturday
The shopping day dedicated to supporting, well, smaller businesses is here. Texas breweries are offering a special souvenir glass featuring Texas landscapes, of which one dollar of every glass sold will go towards the Texas Craft Brewers Guild.

Relatedly, matcha pop-up The Matcha Cart will be serving at Paper Craft and Pantry’s market at 1023 Springdale Road, Building 6B, within Springdale General from noon to 6 p.m.

Bar and Burger Anniversaries
What: Deep Eddy Cabaret and Pool Burger are celebrating its birthdays (68th and second, respectively) with a party, movie screening, and musical performances.
Where: 2315 Lake Austin Boulevard, West Austin
Details: It runs from 2 p.m. to past midnight.


December 2019

Doughvember
What: As part of the finale for Home Slice’s month-long charity campaign, the pizzeria is teaming up with Via 313 for a special dinner. On deck are two collaborative pies: Home Slice’s take on Via’s 500 Pie, aka pineapple and jalapenos on Home Slice dough, and then Via’s take on Home’s pepperoni and mushroom pie. It completely benefits Austin Parks Foundation, Safe Alliance, Carrying Hope, and Austin Bat Cave.

Details: It runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
