Other awards include most innovative, which went to Chicon for its aged beef chawanmushi served with tobiko, Thai basil, and black garlic salt, and Dee Dee won for best food truck and best dessert for its mango sticky rice.
— East Cesar Chavez spot Bufalina now offers happy hour with $5 food specials and glasses of wine, $4 beers, and half-off bottles of wine under $100. It begins on Thursday, October 5 and runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Additionally, its sibling spot on Burnet Road, Bufalina Due, will offer half-off wine bottles under $100 from 9 to 11 p.m.
