Before Justin Timberlake’s concert during motor race event Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this past weekend, the singer dined at Southern restaurant Olamaie with a group on Friday evening, October 20.
Timberlake and his crew grabbed dinner at the downtown Austin restaurant after soundcheck at the Circuit of the Americas. The meal included those off-menu biscuits. The reservation was made that morning.
The musician’s show took place on Saturday, October 21, and Stevie Wonder performed the next day.
Timberlake is a fan of Southern cuisine, especially considering he co-founded Memphis-style barbecue restaurant Southern Hospitality in New York City with two of his friends in 2007.
It’s been a good month for celebrity dining in Austin. During ACL Music Festival earlier in October, rapper Jay Z ordered La Barbecue for lunch and dinner two weekends in a row. He also snacked on Mighty Cone after his second show, as did rock band The Killers.
