— Big Top Candy Shop is finishing renovations just in time for its 10th anniversary. The South Congress sweets shop has increased space for 200 more kinds of candy and a new marble-top soda fountain with an expanded menu.

— Hops and Grain is heading to San Antonio next week for The Granary ‘Cue and Brew’s Brewmaster’s invitational dinner. Five chefs and five brewers from Texas and Colorado are participating in the dinner on October 25.
