Just like last week, ACL headliner and rapper Jay Z ordered lunch and dinner from La Barbecue again on Friday, October 13.
He and his crew placed the same exact order for both meals, which were delivered to the backstage of the American Express headlining stage. This meant brisket, ribs, and turkey; whole bunch of sides like smoky mac and cheese, red onions; as well as bottled barbecue sauce. There was no pork this time again, as requested by Beyonce’s husband.
Last weekend was the first time La Barbecue tried its hand at deli-sliced turkey. Perhaps that will become a new menu offering now, since it has Jay Z’s approval.
For Jay Z’s post-show meal, his crew ordered five chicken cones from Mighty Cone. A trailer staffer delivered the meal to the backstage area after his set ended at 10 p.m.
There’s no word on if Beyonce happened to be there, which would’ve made sense since her sister, singer/songwriter Solange, also performanced that evening too.
