Southern-inspired restaurant and barbecue spot Bacon Bros. Public House wants to open an Austin location. It’s thinking of opening two locations. The Greenville, South Carolina-based establishment is looking at downtown, South Lamar, Mueller, and Rainey Street, among other areas.

The menu at Bacon Bros. focuses heavily on meats, like bacon caramel popcorn, pork shoulder tater tots, burgers, pork chops, brisket, St. Louis-style ribs, and more. The meat board features cured meats made right in the cure room.

“Austin has grown immensely in size and sophistication, and in the process, the food scene has exploded,” co-founder Mike Porter said in a statement. “We anxiously look forward to bringing something entirely new to the area’s dynamic and growing restaurant scene.

Bacon Bros. debuted in 2013, followed by its second-ever location in Texas outside of Houston in Sugar Land earlier this year.
