Los Angeles boba master Elton Keung is bringing his boozy bubble tea shop Labobatory to Austin as a pop-up this month. It’ll take place at Peached Tortilla on Wednesday and Thursday, October 18 and 19 from 5 to 10 p.m.

On deck are four to seven different boba cocktails. This includes the spicy mango fuego mixed with mango and tequila; the taro mezcal with taro milk tea and mezcal; and his take on a White Russian with the Creamy Bobagasm (vodka, coffee liqueur, cream). People will be able to order the drinks at Peached’s bar or opt for dinner with drinks too.

Keung was originally going to bring boozy iteration of Labobatory to Houston starting today, but he had to nix the alcoholic portion of the event according to the Facebook page. Since he’s already in Houston, he’ll host a non-alcoholic boba pop-up with whatever "magic" entails on Sunday, October 15.

Because of that, this makes Austin the first time Keung, who opened a boba speakeasy in 2011 in Los Angeles, is mixing his alcoholic boba drinks outside of California. He wanted to spread his boozy boba drinks across the country, so he launched a successful Kickstarter last year.
