Kula Revolving Sushi Bar is on track to bring conveyor belt sushi to Austin in the middle of March. customers will be able to yank sushi pieces and other Japanese eats of their choosing as it zooms by in front of them, once the chain opens in the city. For alcoholic drinks, there will be sake and beer.

Guests can also place their orders for specific items through handy iPads, which are then delivered via the conveyor belt. The food is delivered within what Kula calls "Mr. Fresh," essentially a clear covering for the plates. There's a specific slot for empty plates, which will calculate the check. Everything is clearly labeled, and there are plenty of instructions.

The fast casual sushi spot announced the specific address for its Austin debut: 6939 Airport Boulevard, found within Suite 125. It will be joined by Asian supermarket 99 Ranch Market. Both are part of the planned renovations for Highland Village, which will be known as Crescent.
