— Anyone who donates blood at We Are Blood this month will potentially win a free private dinner at Franklin Barbecue.

— Campus-born chicken wing bar Pluckers is continuing to grow with its next location out in Oak Hill, its seventh in Austin. Expect the same food and drink menu. It will debut sometime later this year at 7101 Highway 71, after the sixth one opens up in the Linc.

— The winners of the Good Food Awards were announced, which includes Hops & Grain's The One They Call Zoe and A Pale Mosaic beers, Lox, Box, & Barrel's hot roasted honey salmon, and The Jelly Queens' lemon lavender curd.

— With the help of Katie's Krops, an organization encouraging students to grow gardens, 12 year-old Austinite Ian McKenna threw a special dinner using produce he grew for hunger awareness over the weekend.

— Royal Jelly is offering up bottled cocktails, poured into miniature Topo Chico bottles: the Mumbai mule and Blood Orange paloma.
