— Torchy's Tacos is introducing a limited test kitchen at Mueller and Spicewood, where the taco chain will experiment with new tacos, and other dishes. This includes a new queso with chorizo, hot dog taco, and catfish taco. Everything will be available until Sunday, February 5 at Mueller and from Monday, January 30 through Sunday, February 19 at Spicewood.

Vice Munchies caught up with the Ramen Tatsu-ya team on the heels of their latest opening, Japanese-Texas izakaya Kemuri, which brings together smoked meats, small Japanese plates, into an Austin setting.

— Alamo Drafthouse put together a clever, McDonald's-inspired menu for its next beer dinner on Wednesday, February 1: a screening of The Founder, the story of the fast food chain's creation.

— A trio of military veterans, David Wilson, John Wamer, and Randy Williams, started their own brewery, Ruggedman Brewing, in New Braunfels.
