Longbranch Inn, the longtime historic dive bar on East 11th Street, has shut down, as pointed out on Reddit and several tipsters. Calls to the bar confirmed that the number is disconnected. There is an eviction notice from Travis County placed at the door, citing that owner Jim Stockbauer had to leave the address by September 24 at 2 p.m.

A tipster pointed out that Longbranch Inn is included in the TABC's Credit Law Delinquent List. There seems to have been rumors of the bar shuttering earlier in August.

The bar opened back in the day on August 23, 1935. Stockbauer took over in 2001 with Kevin Crutchfield. Stockbauer was also involved with the opening of Freedmen’s Bar (owned by Cuatro Kowalski), but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. He owned Scoot Inn at one point, too.
