It’s not going far

Pieous, the popular Neapolitan pizzeria and pastrami haven in Southwest Austin, is moving, but it’s not going that far. Owners Josh and Paige Kainer wanted to find a bigger location, and the perfect location opened up just down the road on 290 West. They wrote in a Facebook post:

We want our customers/friends/family/employees to love it, too & we want to be able to better serve you in a more comfortable environment, which ultimately led to our decision to relocate our little pieous to a way bigger & nicer spot less than 1 minute down the road.

This means both the pizzeria and daytime cafe Pie-e-tea will move. The original location will remain open until the new one is finished. For now, the pegged opening will happen sometime in 2017. The post also hints at a potential location closer to central Austin.

The Kaners took over the former Cartwright's Famous BBQ for Pieous back in 2013. The bakery and coffee shop Pie-e-tea opened this February.
