Chi’lantro’s quickly-expanding empire is growing larger with the announcement of its fifth location for East Riverside. As Community Impact reported, it will open within the South Shore District in November.
It’s safe to expect the same Korean-Mexican fusion menu with the new spot: Korean barbecue-filled rice bowls, tacos, and more, kimchi fries, and Korean fried chicken wings. The Domain location only serves customizable options, from salads, bowls, tacos to burritos, plus those kimchi fries.
Owner Jae Kim opened up Chi’lantro as a food truck in 2010. There will be five locations of Chi’lantro all together when South Shore opens. There is the first brick and mortar on South Lamar (which took over A-OK Chinese), the second on Burnet (former Man Bites Dog), the third closer to the Domain in the old Boise Fry Company space, and then the downtown trailer which only serves up breakfast tacos and lunch. All locations do not accept cash anymore.
