Houndstooth Coffee, the coffee obsessives’ caffeinated haven, is opening a third location on the East Side. The cafe expansion joins yet another mixed-use development on East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, named Platform.

There’s no word on what the new spot will entail at this point, but it’s the first of most likely several retailers lined up for the development. Houndstooth’s new neighboring coffee shops include all-hours Bennu Coffee and Thunderbird. The third cafe is expected to open sometime in 2017.

It’s safe to say that the menu will remain the same, with espresso, coffees, including the Japanese iced coffee, and tea, alongside beer, wine, and pastries. The cafe’s also known for playing around with experimental coffee brews (like that coffee julep) and coffee tasting menus.

Houndstooth founder and owner Sean Henry opened the first Houndstooth on North Lamar in 2010, followed by the downtown location in 2013, along with two Dallas locations, bringing the total to five all together.
