Xian Sushi and Noodle is going to be very busy soon. The hand-pulled noodle specialists are opening two new locations. First, there will be a third expansion into the Domain with a focus on dim sum all day long. Then there will be a brand new spot completely dedicated to bao in Mueller with Bao’d Up.
Owner and chef Ting Li wanted to to focus on the steamed buns with Bao’d Up because of its traditional Chinese roots and to fulfill a need for bao in Austin. That menu will span different traditional options, all made in house, along with burger-styled bao with different filling combinations. No, noodles will not be served, but there will be bubble tea and smoothies.
The third Xian Noodles and Dim Sum will serve those beloved hand-pulled noodles along with dim sum dishes served beyond Sunday mornings, but no sushi. Xian’s two new restaurants should open sometime early next year.
Xian Sushi and Noodle's original location debuted in late 2013 within Mueller, followed by the second one out on Ranch Road 620 in early 2015.
