Eater Austin Seeks Fall Intern

Could it be you?

Nadia Chaudhury is the editor of Eater Austin covering food and pop culture, as well as a photographer, writer, and frequent panel moderator and podcast guest.

Eater Austin is looking for an enthusiastic intern with journalism in their blood to join the local team. This person will work closely with the Austin editors to research, report, and write articles and maps, as well as fact check, search for photos, transcribe interviews, come up with ideas and stories, and more. The intern will come away with great portfolio clips and a deeper understanding on how to report on restaurant news in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal intern is familiar with Austin’s food and dining scenes. Applicants should have strong writing skills, with bonus points for photography and/or Photoshop experience. The internship is paid, runs 12 to 15 hours per week, and is Austin-based.

To apply, email austin@eater.com using "Eater Austin Fall Internship" in the subject line, with your resume, a description of yourself and why you're interested in the gig, and a list of the five best restaurants in Austin with a brief explanation of why each one was chosen.
