South Lamar spot Brown’s Bar-B-Que is bringing its smoked meats over to the East Side in the form of a sandwich trailer. It will become part of a new food trailer park, 1606 East, found on East 6th Street right next to former Qui. Sandwiches By Brown’s will debut by the end of this week.
Update, September 19: The sandwich trailer is officially open.
Pitmaster Daniel Brown’s new trailer will serve up smoked meat sandwiches, like brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. And no, standalone barbecue won’t be sold. Lunch and dinner will be dished out, with hours starting at 11 a.m. until sold out, Tuesdays through Sunday.
Other tenants include the slider truck Beef Cake Shop (which used to be on Rainey Street) for lunch and dinner, and Mexican-focused Callejeros’ second location, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food trailer park is looking for two more food trucks.

The fenced-in park offers seating (covered and uncovered), and will be open daily at night, with hours depending on the trucks. Live music is in the works, as well.
The expansion makes sense, since owner Jonathan Lochrie also runs Corner Bar, where Brown’s trailer currently resides, along with the nearby and newly-opened Revelry. Brown's Bar-B-Que opened in 2011
