Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches, a family-owned and operated bakery, beer garden, taproom, and retail craft beer shop, will soon call 3220 Manor Road home. Brothers and musicians Noah and Josh Lit are transforming the 1940s Austin stone ranch house just east of Airport Boulevard into a daytime cafe-slash-evening tavern.
Pastry chef and owner of I Knead That baked goods catering company, Jasmine Jones was tapped to update one of Texas’ ultimate comfort foods, the kolache. Her spin on the Central Texas Czech pastry will include options with Micklethwait Craft Meats. Expect a menu with eight signature kolaches with approximately four rotating specials including:
- Micklethwait Craft Meats Pork Sausage & Cheese
- Veggie Sausage & Cheese
- Micklethwait Craft Meats Brisket
- Pickle & Swiss
- Jalapeno & Cheese
- Chocolate, Pecan, and Caramel
Batch’s curated beer program will offer an expansive best-of-selection from local and national breweries. Enjoy Jolly Pumpkin, Prairie, Mikkeller, and Stillwater among others on tap. There will be more than 400 different bottles and cans from domestic and local breweries like Hops & Grain, Blue Owl and Austin Beerworks, unique finds from Belgium and Germany, and domestic sours.
In addition, there will be a full espresso and coffee program in partnership with Greater Goods Roasting, the Dripping Springs roasting company with a charitable focus. The coffee roaster is also opening two cafes within the year.
Batch is on schedule to open January 2017. Its hours will be 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 7 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
