ACL is throwing a massive family-style dinner in between weekends of the music festival, as a call back to to Austin Food & Wine Festival’s meal, which didn’t happen this year since the event was canceled because of storms. The dinner makes sense since both festivals are run by production company C3 Presents
On the cooking lineup for Feast Under the Stars are hailed Los Angeles chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo. Representing Austin are Andrew Curren and doughnut maven Janina O’Leary, as well as Jason Dady from San Antonio, and Texas perennial Tim Love. Everything will be paired by wines picked out by Austin Hope.
The five-course dinner takes place before the second weekend of the festival, on Thursday, October 6, within Zilker Park. The $250 tickets are up for grabs on Wednesday, September 14 at 10 a.m., with a special pre-sale available to people who had Austin Food & Wine Festival tickets the day before on Tuesday, September 13.
ACL recently released the full food and drink lineup for both weekends of the festival, which will include first-time-ever Micklethwait Craft Meats, Bananarchy, and others. The music fun takes place on September 30 to October 2, and then October 7 to 9.
