Swift’s Attic isn’t one to keep things simple with the unveiling of Via 313 pizza burgers and gummy bear sausages for two completely different occasions. The first is executive chef Zack Northcutt’s final burger special on Monday, and the second is for Alamo Drafthouse’s competition for Sausage Party.

Northcutt is leaving the restaurant soon to work with US Foods' Food Fanatics. Part of the team since 2011, he is known for his over-the-top burger specials on Monday nights. So it’s fitting that his departure is being marked with a special Big Ass Burger party on Monday, August 8. His final creation, The Slice of Heaven burger, will feature two slices of Via 313’s The Cadillac pie as the bun, plus a beef and prosciutto patty, arugula, gorgonzola dolce, fig preserves, and a balsamic glaze. As always, a limited number will be available.

Then, for Swift’s entry to Alamo Drafthouse’s sausage party spotlighting the city’s best sausage makers on Wednesday, August 17, Northcutt created gummy bear sausages. It is made by stuffing pork sausages with gummy bears. After being inspired by a meat market in the Midwest offering something similar, he experimented with the salty sweet combination years ago when he was coming up with the different sausages during his tenure at Banger’s Sausage House. The gummy bear sausages will not be available at Swift’s Attic.

Previous Big Ass Burger collaborations included ones with Black’s Barbecue, Ramen Tatsu-ya, and a previous Via 313 partnership with the pizzeria's cheesy buns.
