With the release of Sausage Party, the animated R-rated film featuring talking food items from Seth Rogen and friends, Alamo Drafthouse whipped up an appropriate corresponding food and drink menu, with dishes based on the actual characters from the movie.

Drafthouse chef Brad Sorenson (who left his Rainey Street restaurant No Va last fall and joined the theater) wanted people to "enjoy eating the characters they are enjoying on the screen." That means plenty of hot dog variations, a deep fried Twinkie, and a beef-filled taco, along with two drinks including vodka with sour grape juice. Scope out the full menu offerings below.

Alamo Drafthouse is also hosting three screenings of the film with an accompanying sausage competition with Austin restaurants, pitting links from Frank, Micklethwait Craft Meats, La Barbecue, Easy Tiger, Dai Due, and Swift's Attic against each other. The links that get ordered the most each day will be declared the winners.

Sausage Party, and the menu, premieres on Friday, August 12.
