— Don’t try to use fake money to buy a funnel cake at Dell Diamond ball park.

Wine Enthusiast named two locals “Top 40 Under 40.” Co-owner/operator of drink.well. and Backbeat Jessica Sanders and McGuire Moorman Hospitality's beverage director June Rodil take home the honors.

— “Colorado’s favorite sandwich” shop Snarf’s opens a second location in Austin. The new store (and second one for this town) will open at 1400 S. First St. on Monday, August 29.

— Austin-based company My Fit Foods paired with Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q to offer a low-calorie flat iron steak option to customers. The steak, topped with the barbecue sauce, and served with cauliflower mash and corn on the cob is available at My Fit Food outlets in Texas and Oklahoma.
