With the promise of (somewhat) cooler weather comes the newest batch of restaurants and breweries heading to Austin, including a fast casual wine and dinner destination and breweries galore.

The Domain
Slightly upscale California-based chain Paul Martin’s American Grill is headed to north Austin as part of The Domain’s final phase, Domain Northside, slated for a grand opening celebration in September. As the name suggests, you can expect familiar classics ranging from a bistro burger to kale Caesar to braised short ribs. Its liquor license has been approved, so yes, there will be handcrafted cocktails too. This follows the chain’s first Texas outpost in Dallas last year.

West Oak Hill
Suds Monkey Brewing will be located on Circle Drive, right down the road from the current Thirsty Planet location and near Jester King Brewery. As reported by Craft Beer Austin, the head brewer previously worked at Stone and BJ’s Brewhouse. The opening is expected in early fall pending licensing and permitting.

South Austin
The family-owned and operated Feral Tun Brewing is under construction on East St. Elmo Street with a tentative opening in early 2017. The family has more than 15 years experience in the retail craft beer market.

Del Valle
Hi Sign Brewing is located at 1201 Bastrop Highway (close to Live Oak Brewing’s new facility) and boasts an acre of green space designated for a biergarten. It hired head brewer Brian Gallagher (previously with Stone Brewery) and received its brewery license. The building permit has recently been approved, kicking off construction.
