— Tacodeli’s renovations are complete, and the Spyglass location is now reopened as of yesterday, Sunday, August 14. The new space offers more indoor seating, extra restrooms, and a larger kitchen.

— A Giant Dog and Sweet Spirit singer Sabrina Ellis was the guest chef of Eden East’s dinners last week while Sonya Cote is in Rhode Island. Ellis is taking over the kitchen next Friday and Saturday, August 19 and 20, as well.

— Hops & Grain completed its investment crowdfunding campaign of one million dollars last week, which will go towards the build-out of the brewery’s San Marcos expansion.

Food & Wine called the macaroni and cheese from Parkside as one of the best in the country, because of the "super thin, crispy crust" made of bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.

— Huffington Post gathered random Tweets about food in Texas, which means there are a lot of mentions of tacos, brisket, Whataburger, and kolaches.
