The Factory, the forthcoming coffee and waffle bar, is coming along as construction progresses for the Allandale cafe. Expect swing seats, comfortable sofas, and absolutely no wifi to encourage interaction.

Update, October 7: The Factory opens today, Friday, October 7, with hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.

Co-owners Wallace Kusumo and Wendy Wu (who is also the chef) let Eater take a peek at the menu, which will include fried chicken and waffles, and coffee drinks like pour overs and New Orleans-style iced coffee. Beer and wine will be served, as well. Check out some more of the offerings below.

The duo are hoping the cafe will become a place where people hang out. The name stems from '60s artist Andy Warhol's studio of the same name.

The cafe is still looking for "waffle architects," who will be in charge of the patterned dough, and baristas. There is still no opening date, but when it is, hours will be from 6 a.m. to midnight, daily.
