Chef, television host, and author Alton Brown is stopping by Austin this fall as part of his 24-city tour behind his forthcoming cookbook EveryDayCook. He’ll make his appearance at BookPeople on Tuesday, October 4.

The speaking portion of the BookPeople event is free, though tickets and a purchase of the book are required to join the signing line. Books and tickets will be available at the bookstore starting on Tuesday, September 27.

EveryDayCook features recipes that Brown cooks and eats day in and day out, from buttermilk lassi and lacquered bacon, Mussels-O-Miso, and peach punch pops. The spreads use photos he took with his iPhone. Expect his trademark blend of quirky humor and culinary science throughout.

Known for his many books and television projects, including Good Eats, Iron Chef America and Cutthroat Kitchen, the chef’s tour will take him across the country beginning in New York City on September 26 and concluding in Atlanta, Georgia on October 18.

Brown previously hit Austin in 2014 as part of his Edible Inevitable tour and in 2011 for the Texas Book Festival.
