Actor Chris Pines opined on his love of Tex-Mex with Alamo Drafthouse last night during the premiere of his film Hell or High Water on South Lamar. He told two Drafthouse staffers on the red carpet that he’s a "huge Mexican fan," and was looking forward to Austin’s Tex-Mex options.
He shared that a friend took him to Torchy’s Tacos (he couldn't remember the name of the taco joint at first), where he ordered the brisket-filled Crossroads and the off-menu The Hipster, of which he liked the fried ahi and cilantro combination.
Our new Austin Creative Manager's first day on the job brought her to the HELL OR HIGH WATER red carpet with Chris Pine, Gil Birmingham and (really damn close to) Jeff Bridges! Here's a snippet from our Snapchat story from last night. By the way, follow us at DrafthouseSnaps for more behind the scenes Alamo fun! #hohwmovie #hellorhighwater #alamosouthlamar
Pine and his film co-star Jeff Bridges stopped by the Continental Club later that night to watch Dale Watson perform.
