416 Bar & Grille, the Americana-focused restaurant on Burnet Road, suddenly closed last weekend, according to its Facebook page. The last day of service was on Sunday, July 17. Father and son duo, John and Colin Jurey, who were the owners and chefs of the restaurant, sold it off. Eater has reached out for more information; watch this space for updates.
The Jureys announced their plans for neighborhood bar and restaurant in summer of 2014. 416 opened within a then-new building boasting of tons of parking the following year in February. The menu featured an anytime-breakfast menu, alongside burgers, sandwiches, and other entrees, paired with a cocktail program.
John ran his own restaurants and food trucks throughout the country, and spend some time at Whole Foods. Colin worked with his father in Florida, as well as 24 Diner.
