After Dallas Nightclub, the longtime dancing club in Crestview, closed last fall, Austin-based hospitality company Union Venture Group is sweeping in. It will turn the location into an entirely new restaurant and bar, but there is no name yet.

Union Venture told Eater that guests can expect a neighborhood-focused spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Construction on 7113 Burnet Road already began, and it’s expected to open in the fall.

Dallas Nightclub opened in 1981. It announced the closure in June 2015, shutting its doors that following September. It sold off most of the signs, furniture, and other items, including the wood that made up the massive dance floor.

Union Venture’s recent project is the boozing block of Rock Rose with Irish sports bar Jack and Ginger's, rooftop 77 Degrees, cocktail lounge Saint Genevieve, and nightclub the Rose Room. It also oversees salad-focused GreenGos, Domain bar Somersault, and both locations of The Park.
