Modern Market, the healthy fast-casual restaurant chain from Colorado, is making downtown's Frost Bank Tower its second Austin home, as reported by Austin Business Journal.

Modern focuses on serving farm-to-table breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a big emphasis on accommodating for any and every single type of diet out there, from gluten-free to vegan. The Austin locations use coffee from Cuvee, eggs from Vital Farms, and feature local beers, notes ABJ. The chain opened its first Austin spot near the Arboretum in June.

The ground floor space at 401 Congress Avenue used to be home to two steak and seafood chains: McCormick & Schmick's, which closed in 2012, but still operates a sole location in the Domain; and Willie G's Seafood & Steaks, shuttering in 2014. Other occupants of the Frost Bank Tower include Houndstooth Coffee and JuiceLand

The downtown Modern Market should open by early 2017. There is a third unspecified spot in the works for Westlake. The chain is among the flurry of Colorado restaurants, wineries, and breweries making stamps on Austin.
