East Side Showroom is closing up the cocktail bar on Sunday, July 24, according to a Facebook post. It’ll throw a party on its last day. There is no specific reason given to the shutter, but Eater has reached out for more information. Watch this space for updates.

Update, July 2: East Side Showroom teases that something new will take the place of the cocktail bar, Ah Sing Den.

East Side was known for craft drinks and Creole Italian fare from the kitchen. The bar acted as a cocktail incubator for Austin, with ar alums include Bob King and Chauncy James.

Co-founders Mickie and Trudy Spencer opened East Side Showroom in 2009 with Sonya Cote, who was later joined by then-chef Paul Hargrove, who took over the restaurant before he left for now-shuttered Pleasant Storage Room. Matthew Fiebig took over as the current chef. Cote moved on to open Hillside Farmacy and Eden East.
