With summer just over the horizon, look forward to the newest batch of restaurants heading to Austin, including an unknown dim sum offerings, micro-grocery and deli, and lots of coffee.
California chain The Pizza Press is opening soon at 25th Street and Guadalupe in the the old GreenGos space, as spotted by a tipster. Known for highly customizable pizzas that are made directly in front of customers right on the spot (part of the latest pie trend), this will be Pizza Press’ first Texas location.
Xian Sushi & Noodle will occupy space at The Domain for its third area location. The menu includes a large selection of traditional and contemporary sushi offerings, along with a variety of hand-pulled Chinese noodle dishes.
An unidentified dim sum restaurant will occupy space at the Aldrich Street retail district in the Mueller master-planned community. Nothing else is known about the project.
Arizona-based Flower Child is planning to bring salads, grain bowls, and wraps to The Domain area this fall. The healthful eating chain will pair a range of kombuchas and iced teas, along with beer and wine, with Southern California-influenced fare.
Dia’s Market, a new micro-grocery and deli, is opening at 812 Justin Lane. The shop will offer market staples and specialty foods, along with fresh coffee, wine, and beer that can be enjoyed on the patio or to-go.
Two Hands Coffee plans to open a South Congress location and already applied for liquor permits. Known for hosting open mics, live music, and trivia, along with a great selection of coffees, its first location opened at The Domain’s Rock Rose development earlier this year.
Wood-fired pizza and wine come to The Arboretum with Baretto. is bringing wood-fired pizza and wine to The Arboretum later this year. There will be a full bar and patio.
For its fourth trick, Summermoon Coffee leased space at the Plaza at Avery Ranch. This is the fourth location, serving its signature wood-fire roasted coffee also on South 1st Street, Burnet Road, and another in Buda.
