Brentwood Social House is set to become the neighborhood’s family-friendly cafe, if Suzanne Daniels and Sarah Olano’s restaurant dreams are fulfilled. The two are looking to open the European-style cafe on 1601 West Koenig Lane, with a projected opening date sometime in the fall.
Their goal is to create an inviting environment serving English and French baked goods. Expect sweet and savory pies and crepes, quiches, scones, and salads, along with coffee and tea. The building will feature a comfortable dining room with sofas, a children-focused area, quiet room with outlets, and private dining rooms for events and meetings. Get ready to linger outside with patio and lawn seating, and a garden.
Olana, who originally helms from England, is the cafe’s baker. Daniels, a graphic designer, will manage and design the space. The two launched a Kickstarter earlier this month to raise money for an on-site kitchen and required equipment. The campaign for $53,000 ends on Saturday, June 4.
