Juliet chef de cuisine Brandon Fuller was charged with a felony DWI last week, as reported by KXAN. He was found sleeping in a Car2Go while in the Whataburger drive-thru on Barton Springs Road and South 1st Street early Thursday morning on May 26. KXAN wrote:

Police said they smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Fuller’s breath, and he swayed while standing in place. Fuller admitted to police he had "made a bad decision," according to the affidavit.

Fuller's bond was $50,000. He also has two prior DWIs. A rep for Juliet confirmed the arrest, stating:

While we are aware of the situation with our chef Brandon Fuller, we are not at liberty to discuss anything as it is a pending legal matter.

Fuller joined the opening team of Juliet, before the Italian restaurant opened last July. Before that, he was the executive chef and owner of Cafe Josie (with partner Cody Taylor). He also previously worked for Olive & June, Wink, Parkside, and Uchi.

Recently, ridesharing companies Uber and Lyft left Austin because drivers would be required to undergo fingerprint background checks. Other companies have popped up to take up the mantle.
