Tour Brunch Palace Snooze’s First Austin Spot

Here’s your first full look at the brunch haven

Nadia Chaudhury is the editor of Eater Austin covering food and pop culture, as well as a photographer, writer, and frequent panel moderator and podcast guest.

Snooze finally makes its debut.

Opening on Saturday, the South Lamar location will be home to everything that makes for a good brunch: pancakes, Bloody Marys, tacos, mimosas and eggs Benedicts as far as the eye can see. The Colorado-based chain announced its Austin intentions last spring. The kitchen is helmed by Ryan Devereaux, who will be working with local purveyors like Cuvee Coffee, Vital Farms, Flat Track, and more. Next up will be the North Lamar restaurant sometime this year (It was originally scheduled to open first.).

Eater photographer Robert J. Lerma visited the space, with two different types of booth seatings, bar space, banquettes, and covered patio facing South Lamar.
