Good Juju Cafe, an arm of the Dallas-based organic grill Southpaw, has permanently closed its location in West Campus after just five months in business. A representative confirmed the closure, and told Eater:

We were a new business and we wouldn’t have been able to survive the first summer in West Campus with no students.

Good Juju had offered an wide-ranging menu that included everything from healthy dishes like acai and avocado bowls to not-so-healthy options like barbecue flatbread pizza and the fried chicken plate.

The cafe debuted to mixed reviews on Yelp including complaints about slow service, high prices and small portions. Both Juju’s Twitter account and Facebook pages have been deleted.

Good Juju took over the spot at 510 West 26th Street that was once occupied by another Dallas-based restaurant chain, Twisted Root Burger Co. Good Juju opened in December when Twisted Root moved north to a new location on Burnet.
