Snooze, the Denver-based brunch chain, finally sets its opening date for the South Lamar location on Saturday, May 28. There will be a special peach and strawberry jam created just for the restaurant by Farm to Table Preserves.

The mid-morning-focused menu features a whole lot of eggs Benedict options, including chilaquiles, and pancakes like the pineapple upside-down. Bloody Marys made with fish sauce and Sriracha, and other boozy drinks will be available. For caffeine, look for Cuvee Coffee and Flat Track’s cold brew. Snooze prides on working with local businesses, which means goods from Mill-King Market and Creamery, El Milagro Tortillas, Vital Farms, and 44 Acre Ranch will be used.

Snooze's head chef Bryan Beneke previously worked at South Congress Cafe and Four Seasons in Hawaii and Orlando. Update, May 25: Beneke will head the North Lamar restaurant, while Ryan Devereaux will head the South Lamar spot. The South Lamar location’s hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day.

Next up will be the North Lamar location with an undetermined date. That spot was originally slated to open first. This is Snooze’s 14th location and first in Texas. There’s one headed to Houston, too.
