SEAHOLM — Boiler Nine Bar + Grill, the three-level temple to all things grilled and smoked due to open this spring, has some interiors going up. It looks like it will include a reclaimed wood bar where diners might watch chefs at work around the wood-fire grill.
DOWNTOWN — The latest photos from Coast Bar & Restaurant’s Facebook page show that renovations are well underway at the location in the space once occupied by Mulberry on Nueces Street. The restaurant will continue to focus on seafood sourced from Monger’s Market and shareable plates. It plans to open in June.
SOUTH LAMAR — El Chipiron, the impending Spanish restaurant located in the Cielo South Lamar Apartments, has installed its brand-new sign. The restaurant will focus on pinchos, and plans to offer cooking lessons and tastings. It’s due to open this summer.
DOWNTOWN — The new Italian restaurant run by the original owners of Eddie V’s, Red Ash, has some new interior work going on in for the Colorado Street space. The restaurant will serve traditional Italian fare, and plans for a chef’s counter and wood-fired oven are on the docket.
NORTH BURNET — Colorado brewery, Oskar Blues, is moving ahead on construction for its taproom. The large tasting room bar features raw wood going up on the walls, putting the anticipated brewery on track to open soon. The taproom on Metric Boulevard will be the largest one yet of Oskar’s breweries.
LAKELINE — Pita Fusion’s second store is close to opening and waiting on final inspections and decor. The chain bringing "American sandwiches in Mediterranean bread" to the area also hints at plans for a third store, though the location is still up in the air.
