Bad news for sandwich lovers: Romanouskas Deli, the sister trailer from Micklethwait Craft Meats, is shutting down. The good news: the Michelle Obama-approved barbecue spot is looking to open a brick and mortar.

Romanouskas’ last day will be Sunday, May 15, but there are plans to add some dishes to the barbecue trailer. No other information about the new venture is available yet.

The deli trailer, run by Bobby Lovelett, the barbecue pitmaster Tom Micklethwait’s former Vespaio co-worker, dished out meaty sandwiches like the namesake Reuben, BLT, along with other sides like egg salad and vegetables. Originally found next to Micklethwait Craft Meats on Rosewood, the trailer moved to the Grackle on East Sixth Street last November. Micklethwait opened in 2012.
