Sushi lovers, take note: Musashino sets its last day on Greystone Drive before the move to West Campus: Saturday, May 14. After that, it will look to quickly reopen in the former Fino location on San Gabriel Street within the same month.
Musashino’s current upstairs neighbor Chinatown will take over the sushi restaurant’s ground floor spot for a new concept. Owner Ronald Cheng is planning on an Asian street food focus. Chinatown also has two other locations in Austin.

Musashino, open for over 22 years, has been the training ground for some of Austin's most well-known chefs, including Uchi/Uchiko's Tyson Cole, Ramen Tatsu-Ya's Tasu Aikawa and Takuya Matsumoto, and Kome's Take Asazu. Fino owners Lisa and Emmet Fox shuttered the longtime campus restaurant Fino last spring, but the couple still run the Italian spot Asti and cafe Cantine.
