— Ramen is coming to East Side King's spot at Space 24 Twenty soon.

— While Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams was in Austin for the Moontower Comedy Festival, she stopped by Franklin Barbecue for the works.

— Actor Henry Winkler approved of Today Show co-host Tamron Hall's choice of snacks at Franklin Barbecue.

— Teo Gelato is headed to the finals of the Gelato World Tour competition again this year, taking place in Italy in 2017. The gelato shop's Texas pecan pie flavor made it to the 2014 competition, where it landed in the top five list, and was voted as the best American gelato.

Architectural Digest put out its own Austin guide, recommending Josephine House, Launderette, Lenoir, and the various bars of Rainey Street.

— Cedar Park Center will be renamed HEB Center at Cedar Park after the supermarket chain purchased the naming rights for the sports and concert venue.

Texas Monthly has a bone to pick with Thrillist's list of metropolitan-adjacent suburban cities in the country. Instead of Round Rock for Austin, the magazine suggests Georgetown, San Marcos, Wimberley, or barbecue-loving Lockhart.
