The Chronicle Savors Ladies' Night at The Backspace

Adrienne Whitehorse at the Chronicle posts another entry in her Date Night series for the publication. This time, she hit up The Backspace with her squad on a Friday night. After a starter glass of rose Lambrusco, Whitehorse and her ladies enjoyed some appetizers:

The apps were both delivered in adorable miniature cast iron pots that I couldn't remember to avoid touching. The repeated scorching of my fingertips, however, was worth every bite of baked ricotta, lemon, and poached tomato. The house focaccia allowed me to sponge the last of the sauce from the meatball pot. Another burn.

The group also liked the Neapolitan pizzas, which Whitehorse preferred over the salted caramel panna cotta.
