Azul, the Westin Austin Downtown’s highrise rooftop pool bar, is now open to the public. The catch? It’s only available for non-guests on Monday through Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Weekends are saved for hotel guests. The pool has been open to everyone since Sunday, April 3.
Azul's menu includes draft cocktails like a spicy blood orange margarita, and the very blue gin-based colada. Wines and beers are also on deck. Snacks from the restaurant's hotel Stella San Jac include a span of hot dogs from executive chef Michael Cerrie. The frankfurters range from tomato chicken sausage with harissa and feta to the jalapeno cheddar with barbecue mayonnaise. Plus there are more refreshing snacks like fruit cups and hummus. Take a look at the full menu below.
Elsewhere in downtown Austin, the W Hotel offers $30 reservations-only day passes to non-guests for pool access to the Wet Deck on Sundays through Thursdays, pending any events. Though there is a separate and private pool for residents and guests of the hotel.
The Westin Austin Downtown opened on East 5th Street last summer, with the hotel's restaurant Stella San Jac following in July.
